Geoff Gates is a Sydney-based singer songwriter and author. Geoff’s songs blend folk, rock and alt country traditions, melodic songs with moving and wry observations about people and life. Geoff's debut solo album 'Melancholy Party' was released in 2021 and launched in February 2022, gaining radio play on such stations at 2SER, 3 Tripe R and 3 Triple Z. Geoff recorded a new album of songs at Shelter Studies in Katoomba in 2023. 'Willow & Rock' features Geoff on guitars and vocals, Robbie Renu (bass), Gareth Richards (drums) and Brad Christmas (keyboards.) The album was engineered and co-produced by Rick Turnock and mastered by Don Bartley. This Old Life' played on ABC Country 'Grass Roots' on 18 December 2023 while 'This Goodbye' was featured on 23 September 2024. Geoff is an experienced performer with a great band. Recent gigs have included the Petersham Bowling Club, Katoomba Bootlegger and Gasoline Pony.
